Rebellious, Refined, and Real: Chris Heyn is Doing Something Cool
How one man became ‘Unc’ to hundreds of thousands
There’s a particular kind of style Chris Heyn curates on his page that just clicks with me – maybe it’s the shared Connecticut roots or that unmistakable New England prep school vibe he brings to every outfit.
Think of old-school Ralph Lauren mixed with 90s skate culture, but there’s this modern edge to it – a sort of “I make dope things, and you know it” vibe. Something that makes followers comment “I sensed the aura before I opened the app unc”. Calm confidence maybe? Yeah that seems right.

Aura
I first came across Chris at the start of this year. Right away, he was different—one of the first people I followed who had this fresh, layered style and vibe. The way he mixed fashion, music, motivation, and more was magnetic, and it made me want to pull that energy into my own life.
Only recently did I realize Chris is the founder of a lifestyle brand and creative agency, Havoc Henry. Funny enough, I’d been following the brand’s account for months without even knowing it was his. The posts had become a little aesthetic escape in my feed, a quick burst of inspiration in an otherwise typical scroll. It didn’t even matter who was behind it; I just followed because it felt right.

A recent post from @havoc.henry
Since I’m a firm believer that nothing happens by coincidence, I dug deeper into Havoc Henry to understand what pulled me toward it. Here’s what I found:
Right from the start, Havoc Henry strikes a balance between rebellious energy and timeless style – an irresistible combination. Chris Heyn infuses his personality into every piece, creating a brand that doesn’t just mimic trends but riffs on them with a unique twist. Imagine the bold edge of 90s streetwear, paired with the classic feel of iconic designers like Ralph Lauren and Halston. It’s nostalgic yet clean, a modern aesthetic that feels grounded and fresh.
What I find cool about Chris’s story is how relatable his approach to fashion is – it’s about the thrill of getting into something unique and personal before it’s everywhere. He’s bringing back that “be the first to rock it” vibe. In an era when trends fade quickly, Chris is focused on creating pieces with longevity, the kind you’d still want to wear seasons (or years) from now.
Beyond the aesthetic, though, Havoc Henry is more than another streetwear line; it’s about blending contrasting styles. Picture a pair of beat-up Vans with a luxury jacket or a 90s Fubu tee with designer boots. Heyn has said he sees fashion as both art and a way to connect with others. “Havoc happens” – it’s a nod to life’s chaos and not taking things too seriously, refreshing in today’s curated world.
The brand’s still in its early phase, but I genuinely hope Havoc Henry grows into everything I imagine it could be. For now, I’m enjoying the posts from Chris and Havoc, and the many other creators in this space. I’ll probably write more on this soon because there’s a lot to explore and I’m not even sure how to describe what category this kind of content falls into. And maybe that is the magic of it. There is no category it just is. I don’t know but the numbers speak for themselves, I mean each of these accounts have thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dedicated followers.
More to come soon.
Over and out,
Alex
